Pizza Punks | Newcastle | Review

Pizza Punks | Newcastle | Review

We were recently at Newcastle Theatre Royal to watch the Panto and decided to head to Pizza Punks on Grey Street for a pre-theatre meal. As one of our kids is vegetarian, it is sometimes difficult to find somewhere with good vegetarian options but pizzarias are always a winner.

The neon glow as you walk in combined with the exceptional soundtrack puts you in the right mood for some funky pizza combinations.

There are some classics on the menu but the great Unique Selling Point of Pizza Punks is the create your own Pizza with unlimited toppings.

At only £12.95 for a 12" Pizza you can load this up with whatever you want. They also currently running a deal with 50% off at selected times, see their facebook page for more info, which is an absolute bargain.

Dee had the classic Margherita, Me and Sam both love Nduja so I had Nduja and Gorgonzola and Sam had Nduja and Goats Cheese.

Harry went all out and overloaded his pizza with a comical amount of toppings including Ham, Mushrooms, Chorizo, Meatballs, Pepperoni, Black Pudding, Buffalo Chicken and Chipotle Pulled Pork.

We were joking it was going to take two people to carry it from the kitchen but I have to admit I was jealous once his Pizza came out.

The pizza were all delicious and we ordered some dips for our crusts and along with 4 soft drinks our final bill came in at just over £70, which for a Friday night in Newcastke city centre I think is excellant value.

To find out all of the toppings availale you can see full Pizza Punks menu here.
