All Bar One Newcastle Brunch Review

We recently popped into Newcastle with the kids for a spot of shopping and decided to treat them to brunch first. We are spoilt for choice when it comes to brunch options in Newcastle but on this particular occasion decided to try All Bar One - the new kid on the block. 

All Bar One is located on Grey Street in the old Browns building just next to Harry's Bar.  All Bar One is open daily from 9am and children are welcome before 7pm. You can book online in advance but for breakfast, this really isn't needed - there were plenty of tables free during our visit. Download the All Bar One app to access exclusive offers and deals.

On a Sunday morning, the vibe was lovely and laid back with an easy-listening soundtrack. The venue feels nice and welcoming and the staff were lovely and brill with kids. If you dine later in the day, a children's menu is available and mains are just £4 each. There is also a dedicated Vegan menu and lots of offers including lunch and a drink for £8.95 or 4 tapas and a bottle of wine for £20 on a Tuesday - check out their offers page for details.  

Back to brunch though - we ordered a range of hot drinks which were all reasonably priced and came with a complimentary shot of smarties which pleased the kids.

Considering the prime Grey Street location, the prices are brilliant. You can order kids a small Full English or Veggie English for £4 from the children's menu and as everything is cooked to order, you can make amendments too. 

Our food arrived in good time and was nicely presented. It wasn't the best breakfast we have ever had in Newcastle but it was really good value and we had no complaints. Steve's Chorizo Egg Pot was probably the best dish and I still can't believe it was less than a fiver.

At just under £40, our brunch worked out at £8 per person including a hot drink which isn't bad at all. Brunch set us up nicely for the day. Not many places open at 9am on a weekend for breakfast and All Bar One is a good shout if you are looking for a relaxing start to your day / breakfast meeting or catch up in a central location with a nice ambience and good value food.
